Following on from our Success at the Welsh awards for sustainability and Micro Business of the year awards we were entered into the National awards and we won!

We were up against 12 regions and some amazing businesses from across the UK.

"How wonderful to be rewarded for our hard work on increasing biodiversity and sequestering carbon from the atmosphere and having such a big impact and a wide spread."

Spread the word so we can increase our woodlands; all investments are used to benefit insect habitats, flora and fauna wildlife and human interaction with nature across the UK.

All of our reserves are 'special places'. Our Non Profit is different as we work with landowners who want to create woodlands for FREE.

This holistic permaculture approach puts people and nature before profit.

“Award winners have helped to demonstrate the diversity, creativity and tenacity of small businesses and the self-employed across the whole of the UK. It is through supporting small businesses that we’ll have a stronger economy.”
- Martin McTague OBE - FSB National Chair

Multi-award-winning 9Trees is a non-profit CIC, rooted in Powys, Wales, and has since expanded its presence to encompass numerous counties across the UK.

“We can’t believe we won, we went to celebrate our double award win around other winners from across the UK and then we were first up on stage and Tess even took a selfie with my phone of us! The award is super heavy and It's great that our new business development manager Jess Atherton accompanied us from Bristol and Yzabella Hill from Llandrindod who is our new director came too! It was a wonderful day and evening in Blackpool and we made many great connections! The free bubbly went down extremely well and I'm still buzzing!”
- Michael Cunningham - 9Trees MD & Founder, from Erwood station, Builth Wells.

“We have also been nominated for the ‘Earth Shot Prize’ by Conservation Optimism and won ‘The Natural Environment Award’ for the South West of England”
- Yzabella Hill, 9Trees Director, from Llandrindod Wells, Powys.

Ann Scott, Development Manager at FSB, said: “There are 5.5 million small businesses who employ 16.7 million people in the UK. They really are the backbone of our economy and at the heart of our communities. They embody the creativity and resilience that fuels ... prosperity but many have faced an incredibly tough economic climate over the last few years. It’s therefore important to not just recognise, but celebrate, their achievements and contributions with the FSB Awards.”.
