9Trees is actively championing biodiversity, mental wellbeing, and inspiring individuals, companies and landowners to take climate action through the creation of biodiverse woodlands. The simple act of planting trees leaves a lasting legacy for your family and future generations.
Established as a grassroots not-for-profit organisation, 9Trees is reaching out to landowners across the UK, offering them an opportunity to transform part of their land into a thriving ecosystem at no cost.
‘We only use native tree saplings sourced from local nurseries, working with local conservation tree planters and ecologists, we listen to what the landowner would like and take the pain out of paperwork and funding!’ Michael Cunningham Founder stated.
Choose Your Path to Conservation
Landowners can choose from two distinct options:
50 Stages & 50 Years: This comprehensive approach is designed for larger areas, providing survey, planting, and management services for half a century.
Branching Out: Tailored for smaller projects or those focused on;
Agroforestry, Hedgerows, and Biodiversity,
9Trees provides the trees and initial support, then visits once a year to offer guidance.

Providing trees, stakes and guards for landowners
Simplified onboarding process with fewer surveys required
Tailored solutions and top-up funding to support the landowner’s specific goals
9Trees funds the tree planting through donations from sponsors who also have a passion for the biodiversity of the UK, their own or their teams wellbeing and those who want to balance their carbon footprint.
The land remains under the landowner’s ownership while the trees “belong” to those who funded them.

Every nine trees planted help balance the carbon footprint of one UK resident for a year. “It’s essential we do projects like this… It’s for our children and subsequent generations,” says Geoff Heald, a 9Trees landowner from Powys.
They have received positive feedback from subscribers, employees, partners, and landowners for their focused approach and passion for their mission. Winning awards for their work restoring habitats, and giving people a way to take meaningful climate action and get involved.
Their passion for environmental preservation continues to inspire individual and business sponsors, and landowners alike.
